I love the game of cricket. I was among the first few to jump and dance on the streets on India’s victory in world cup.
Their is a concept in management called critical to quality (CTQ). Now let us see what’s Critical to quality of our lives. India won the WC11 on Saturday. Sunday while going on roads there was no reduction in the potholes on street. People with fake licenses were still driving rash. Monday night 200 people were affected of food poisoning due to adulterated buckwheat flour. So in short there is no correlation what so ever with of India’s WC victory to our quality of life. But still people are crazy about WC and are still re-watching the final match and don’t want to hear or see anything else. Now at the same time there is some movement happening against corruption.
Anna Hazare one of India’s well-acclaimed social activists, a former soldier in the Indian army is on hunger strike to pass a bill against corruption.62 years after independence, we still do not have independent and effective anti-corruption systems. Very weak versions of Lokpal Bill were presented in Parliament eight times in the last 42 years. Even these weak versions were not passed by Parliament. This means, left to themselves, the politicians and bureaucrats will never pass any law which subjects them to any kind of objective scrutiny. At a time, when the country has witnessed scams of unprecedented scale, the impatience of the entire country is justified. Now is the time for all of us to do this littleBIGthing to support this cause. Just visit http://indiaagainstcorruption.org/ for more details. With a BIG passive support if we can make India win WC, with a little active support we can make INDIA win against corruption.
